Stalled

I got to a point, and I realised I have no plan. The teddy moves really nicely, the kid’s bedroom looks really great, but now what? The story just isn’t coming to me; so rather than stare at a blank screen I decided to start another project. Maybe my brain needs a break.

This one is simple. Easy mechanics and a simple theme. Just think of a dwarf defending his gold from goblins and the like with a crazy Gatling gun. Just think “PPRRRRRRRRRT” while the bullets ricochet in a predictable manner! I will definitely finish this one this year. Introducing the main man, Gyldengrip.

It took me about four days to make him from scratch. Here are some progress images:

The game itself is mostly finished. It functions in other words. Nothing pretty yet, just the plain old mechanics of the enemies moving towards us and us shooting them.

I’ve seen a few army defense systems recently and I like the rate of fire, so I think I’m going to implement upgrades to get to that speed down the road of the game.

This game has a plan, this one is doable!
