The camera shivers!
I’ve finally managed to get the zombie hand working fully. It waits for you, attacks where you approached it, and takes damage during that vulnerable stage, reacts to that damage, and dies by withering back into the grave.
Also, I’ve managed to get the camera to shake when damage is dealt or received. Big shake for when damage is received or if an enemy dies, and a small shake for dealing damage. On that note, Teddy also gives a little bounce when he’s hit.
Then the ghost now shoots a far more appropriate projectile, a ghostly form of itself. I would like to put in some sort of warning though for when it’s about to shoot. Right now there’s nothing like that. You’ll be standing in front of the ghost attacking and BLAM you’ve been shot in the face. That’s no fun. I think something as simple as it breathing in since the ghost projectile is going to shout “BooOooOooOoooo…” as it flies by.
All that shouldn’t take me too long to do. I could probably finish it in an evening. So here is my new set of goals:
I need to finish up the hub world (the kid’s bedroom) and then lay out the ghost stage. Once that’s done I’ll look at the UI. Right now it’s very generic. That should keep me busy for about two or three weeks.
